The Irish Kidney Association will be hosting the 6th European Transplant & Dialysis Games in Dublin over the week of August 8th - 15th. Approximately 350-400 competitors and 120-150 supporters are expected from over 20 countries to attend the Games. France will be bringing a team to The Games. All of the competitors will either have a functioning organ transplant or will be on kidney dialysis. There will be 12 sports on offer ranging from athletics to volleyball and badminton to ten pin bowling. The games are not just a sporting occasion, they are an opportunity to celebrate life through sport and the opportunities for peer interaction will be of great benefit for all participants.
